From The Course - January 2013

Happy New Year from all the Greenkeeping Team.

During the mild spell over Christmas and the New Year it was great to see so many out taking the advantage of the weather that allowed us to open the full greens. It has been a long time since that has been possible in December and January!

With the winter eventually arriving all work on the course repairing drains, repairing bunkers and planting trees has come to an abrupt halt. That is not to say that we aren’t busy. There is plenty of inside work to do painting hazard and guide posts, repairing pins, servicing machines etc. Hopefully this cold snap doesn’t last too long and we can get back outdoors to finish our winter program and have more to report next month.
