Local Rules

1. BOUNDARIES OF THE COURSE
The boundaries of the golf course are the dykes, fences, white lines or white posts surrounding the same. A ball lying outside these boundaries or inside the enclosure around the farm buildings at the 2nd, 3rd and 9th holes is out of bounds. (Rule 27-1)

2. WATER HAZARDS
Yellow marker posts and/or lines define water hazards on the course. All unmarked ditches and anything of a similar nature are also water hazards. Red marker posts and/ or lines define lateral water hazards on the course.Relief may be taken under Rule 26-1.

3. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
Artificially surfaced roads and paths including the sides and edging of same.

(a) All weather shelters and secured course furniture.
(b) All manmade covers, sprinkler and drainage covers.
(c) All internal fences and dykes.
(d) All man-made tee supports and steps.

All of the above are to be treated as immovable obstructions and relief under Rule 24-2 (b) may be taken. All other roads, pathways and tracks, stones, boulders and rocks are integral parts of the course and no relief is given. This includes the old wall to the right of the 11th and 16th holes.

4. STAKED TREES
If such a tree interferes with a player’s stance or area of intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted and, without penalty, dropped in accordance with Rule 24-2(b)

5. GROUND UNDER REPAIR
Any area encircled by a continuous white line, or enclosed by white stakes, is to be treated as ground under repair and the ball MUST be lifted and dropped in accordance with Rule 25-1(b).

6. DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
For all play at this golf course, a player may obtain information by using a device that measures distance only. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect play (e.g. gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.) the player is in breach
of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such function is actually used.

6. TEMPORARY LOCAL RULE
Any temporary local rules throughout the season will be posted on the notice board when they arise, i.e. abnormal ground conditions, embedded ball etc. It is the player’s own responsibility to check the notice board for any such rule(s) in effect.
