Pitlochry Golf Course offers visitors the chance to play one of Perthshire’s most visually stunning golf courses and a fitting challenge for those of all handicaps. The competition comprises events and activities both on and off the course, and with many new friends to make, old acquaintances to catch up with, and everything in between, it makes for a complete golfing experience. So come along, join in and taste for yourself the Highland golf experience at Pitlochry.

The Starters Cup (optional)
The Starters Cup itself is awarded for the best net score of the day. Prizes are also awarded for the best scores and runners up in Scratch, Silver and Bronze divisions. This is often used to familiarise golfers with the course for the main competition. There is also an optional sweep – £1 payable on the day.

AM Matchplay Knockout: Scratch, Silver & Bronze Sections followed by the Greensome competition for non qualifiers optional.

A Greensome competition may be played for by those competitors who do not qualify for the match play. A draw will be done on Wednesday evening.

The main competition starts with two qualifying rounds of 18 holes, stroke play, played on Tuesday 16th July and on Wednesday 17th July. You play at the same time and with the same playing partners. The draw will be posted in the Clubhouse from Sunday 9th July and will also be published in the local press and website. Prizes are awarded to the top qualifier and runner-up in each of the Scratch, Silver and Bronze divisions. The Jean Spittal Salver is awarded for the best aggregate gross score for those competitors aged 55 years or over on the first day of the qualifying competition. The Breadalbane Quaich, presented by Miss E Miskimmin, is awarded for the best aggregate gross score for those aged 21 years or under on the first day of the qualifying competition.
The 16 players with the lowest aggregate scratch score in the qualifying rounds shall play off by match play for the Atholl Cup. Of those not qualifying for the Atholl Cup, the 16 players with lowest aggregate nett scores in the Silver Division will play off, under handicap, for the Pecairn Cup and those 16 players in the Bronze division with the lowest nett scores will play off, under handicap, for the Craigower Trophy. All matches will be played to a conclusion. The winner of the morning match will play again in the afternoon. For those players who have to go up the 19th, 20th and so on, a half hour’s break is given prior to the afternoon match.
The Craic - Clubhouse, Food & Entertainment
Buffet 7.00 pm for 7.30 pm in the Clubhouse – Come and meet you’re playing partners for the next two days. Starters Cup:- Sweep prizes will be awarded.
A free evening.
Get together night - 8.00pm in the clubhouse, with prizes to be won!
Par Tee Night – Groups or individual performers will be warmly welcomed. All contributions gratefully received. Dance, sing, play an instrument, recite a poem, show us a magic trick!
Presentation of Prizes and Trophies at 5.30pm
